Code Red is a movement for civil disobedience actions founded by activists and supported by various organisations and action groups that call for civil disobedience. The movement demonstrates to demand ambitious and just climate and social policies.

In August 2018, the Code Red movement came to Delfzijl to organise a sit-in blockade. The earthquake issues in Groningen, in which NAM played a crucial role, were the reason for demonstrating against the use of fossil fuels at the NAM tank farm in Delfzijl.

Commissioned by Non-Fiction Photo, I created a report on the camp and the protest. The photo series was shown as an exhibition during World Press Photo 2018 in Groningen.
